Erie area suits seek damages from auto crashes
In City and Vicinity Erie two suits were filed Saturday seeking damages from auto accidents. J Kenneth and Katherine Blakely claim 457.98 from F H Wilking of Franklin for alleged damages in a crash. W T Barnhart of Erie seeks 116.76 against Jonathan Cook for an October 11, 1947, auto accident.

Seeding of 60 rabbits marks 1946 stocking start

A prayer service will be held at the home Saturday afternoon followed by a 2:30 p.m. funeral at the Elgin Methodist Church for Clark M. McCray. Rev. R. W. Drigcoll of Alma New York assisted by Rev. BF Armitage officiated. Beavers were relatives of the deceased, including Clyde McCray Clarence McCray Lloyd McCray Raymond Wiggers Howard Ladd Roy Ladd Harold McLean and Gynn McLean. Interment was in Beaverdame Cemetery. A large turnout from Wayne and Concord Townships Corey and nearby attended along with relatives from Wiltsburg Sherman Jamestown North East For Wille and Erie.

Exposure victim identified in coroner report
The body of elderly Pred W. Young, who wandered from a rooming house on November 29, was identified as the exposure victim. Coroner Warren W. Wace indicates he perished from exhaustion and exposure. The report lists other local discharges and a kitchen explosion injuring Mrs. Willard Vrooman seven miles north of Titusville.
