Pymatuning Dam project expansion and lake plan
The 35 foot top width earth dam at Pymatuning will push construction across the Shenango river area or near Shounshe and plan for a 17 mile long reservoir. Hundreds will gain employment as work proceeds, with a conduit, new Shenango channel and earth embankment shaping the lake. The project aims to finish by 1983 84, creating Pennsylvania's largest water body with potential for public parks and recreation centers along the shore.

The Catholic Daughters of America will host a business luncheon in the Knights of Columbus rooms from 12 to 1 pm inviting all business people. Reservations can be made with Mrs. Fitzgerald Wood. Cornell Named in Arson Case Seeks Pardon
Henry Blackie Crowell, freed Sunday on a conspiracy charge to defend insurers, may seek a pardon from the Western penitentiary where he serves four to eight years for an arson conviction in Crawford County. His attorney, Owen Burns, would base the plea on his release on a Sunday charge and other factors. Crowell will be returned to the penitentiary next Monday, Sheriff Millard L. Davis said. Louly Kant nyt, who pleaded no defense to the conspiracy charge, will also be sent to Allegheny county workhouse. he was a key witness for the Commonwealth against Girardnt and hopes for a pardon, though none action has been taken.

Five young men robbed Harold Sieker in a Bucktail Trail camp near St. Marya, seizing $30 at gunpoint after entering his camp late Friday. One suspect was well dressed, the others wore hunting attire. The incident was initially misreported as a highway holdup.
