Washington Feb 22 The Air Force and Atomic Energy Commission announced the completion of the first phase of the NEPA program aimed at home powered aircraft propulsion. The NEPA project will be terminated April 30.
A Titusville man Raymond Reese age 24 admits passing worthless checks in Corry Spartansburg and Titusville. He was arrested in Titusville after fleeing to Bradford and cooperation by Bradford and Titusville officers. Police believe he used multiple fake names and forged drafts to defraud local merchants with several hundred dollars total losses. Local merchants reported numerous forged checks bearing names including Pete Brady Leon Proper Charles Shaffer Pete Moore Louis Weed William Hanley Carl Graft and Donald Spencer. Further recoveries and unaccounted for offenses remain under investigation.
Barbra Stanwyck 43 testified that Robert Taylor asked for a divorce after returning from Italy. The couple married in 1939 and separated in December. Stanwyck will receive 15 percent of Taylor's cross earnings until she remarries, with no romance in her life per her statements.

A federal district court jury awarded Mrs. John B. Pattey of Pittsburgh $66,000 for the death of her husband August 5 1949. The suit named The Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company and the Duquesne Sugar Products Co. as defendants.

An accident one mile east of Union City on Route 6 caused two injuries and fatalities.
