State Atty. Gen. David Stahl told the State Milk Control Commission hearings that a four-cent discount on gallon milk sales is too small to attract customers. Glenn’s flight confirms human superiority over machine as a capsule control issue is fixed and his postflight briefing begins ahead of Kennedy’s welcome.
Two youths, ages 14, from East Street and Warren Street, admitted a sequence of shoplifting crimes starting February 6 and ending February 16. They stole shells, flashlights and hand warmers from Barney's Firestone, Bargain Joe's, and G C Murphy Co. stores. most items were recovered, with one item paid for by the boys' mothers. Police Chief Harley Drake placed them on unofficial probation and ordered weekly station check-ins.
An 11 year old admitted stealing several cars in Exile and Corry after living with relatives in Erie. He described taking Conrad Monroe’s car from a Corry hotel event and causing damage. Charles Bughes, probation officer, said the youth will be cited for Juvenile court.
