Open Bible in hand, 54 year old Robert J Boltz apologized on the stand for clients who lost about 1 million dollars in his investment firm. Judge Eugene V Alessandron will sentence him next Monday after Boltz admitted fraudulent conversion and violations of the Pennsylvania Securities Act.

Fire and smoke damaged seven downtown Sharon shops in a two hour blaze. Fire officials said losses likely ran to several thousand dollars. The fire began in a second car beauty shop and spread to a dental office, a drug store, clothing stores, a dress shop, a tailor, and two previously rented apartments.

McKean County detectives announced plans to seek an immediate indictment and extradition for Raymond L. Carroll 31 of Cory to face a first degree manslaughter charge in the death of John Larson 82 Bradford. Carroll was arrested in Buffalo after refusing to waive extradition while living at 396 Wabash Avenue Kenmore and working in a Paras airplane factory. authorities say Larson died January 21 from injuries sustained October 3 in his Bradford backyard.
