Safety Experts Set Conference Harrisburg Feb 21
Highway safety experts from 10 eastern states will attend a coordinating conference in Harrisburg on February 21. O D Shipley of the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association announced the event to standardize inter state highway safety supervision and reporting forms. The PA Plan serves as a model, with over 120 patrol drivers and 1,100 reports received in the last 10 weeks.

Pleads Innocent in Coal Mine Shooting Case
Roger E. Davis 48, a dragline operator at the Robert Bailey surface mine near Grassflat, pleads innocent to aggravated assault after a clash between pickets and non union miners. John Lonetti 45, Winthondale police chief and UMW District 2 organizer, was shot in the stomach. his condition is serious. Davis is free on a $4,000 bond and a hearing is set for tomorrow as state police patrol the area.
