Two Injured Slightly In Crash Here

Police report a two car crash at West Pleasant street and Second avenue left two injured and total damage at $500. Ernest L. Fansnaught of Titusville, 35, said he could not avoid the collision after a car pulled out. Christine E. Nichols, 21, of 323 South Second avenue, stopped at a stop sign and did not see the other vehicle. Nichols and passenger Sandra Anthony, 19, were taken to Corry Memorial Hospital. Anthony listed in satisfactory condition. Nichols treated for a head laceration and released. Nichols faces a cited for failure to yield the right of way.

Deadline Set For Action On Auto Fee Hike

Gov Shafer said he would wait one more week for action on motor vehicle license fee increases for 1970. Senate adjourned without acting on bills amending fees to 14 for cars 16 for station wagons and higher truck increases and a companion gas tax rise from seven to eight cents. If no new schedule is approved motorists would pay current 10 for cars and 12 for station wagons.

State police and Erie County officials probe a twin engine crash west of Erie International Airport that killed Dr. Darrell R. Shipley of Clarksville Tennessee.
