Erie City Aide Found Guilty in Morals Case
Edward J Metz former city assessment bureau employee was found guilty on two morals charges involving two teenage girls. The jury verdict came after more than five hours of deliberation. Metz faces up to five years in prison and a $5,000 fine on each count and is jailed pending sentence with an appeal anticipated.

Mrs. Kate Randall mother of B M Randall of this city died yesterday afternoon at her Mesick Michigan home. She was 81 and had been in ill health the past year. Survived by son and daughter in law Mrs. Randall, one daughter Mrs. Cleo Myers of Osborn Missouri, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Mr Randall left to attend the Mesick funeral service to be held tomorrow afternoon.
