Fire burns child as snows block rural road rescue
In East township deep drifts delayed aid after a tar can burst in a home injuring five year old Alice Weaver of R D 3 North East. Police and Sgt R Nuhfer fought two miles of snow to reach the house but an Ottawa toboggan rescue was delayed. The woman was finally taken to St Vincent's Hospital Erie by morning with condition reported fairly good by Erie hospital staff.
