SILL FACING DELAY PENDING CONTROL PLAN
Harrisburg february 14 United Press reports that the Conner Sowers bill to repeal the Snyder Armstronect remains stalled pending a liquor control plan. A militant minority of the wet bloc seeks to delay action until after a special committee drafts a plan acceptable to Republicans and Democrats. Some veterans oppose postponement, arguing to force a House vote and send the measure to the Senate, while others back a commission to prepare an effective liquor control framework.
