Murder of Woman In Auto Fatal. Pastor Resigns

A Corry man’s car struck and fatally injured elderly resident HL Hatrnese Newhouse in Clymer on Wednesday. Newhouse died Sunday at his daughter’s home after injuries from the collision, with reports noting the driver swerved toward a hydrant to avoid him. Survivors include relatives in Ohio and New York. services will be held in Clymer with arrangements pending.

Carl Carlison son of Mr and Mrs L Calflisch of Clymer is confined to Corry Hospital with injuries from a sledding accident on the Clymer pond. He fell and badly injured his right leg and was brought to the hospital this morning.

Erie Man Forfeits $10,000 Bail Bond

United Press reports that Stanley Dabowski of Erie failed to appear for trial on liquor law violations. Federal Judge P. P. Schoonmaker ordered the $10,000 bond forfeited and an arrest warrant issued. He is charged with man ufacturing and possessing materials for whiskey, resisting a federal officer, and related offenses.

Miners Strike Looms As Miami Parley Opens

Death claims R A Palmer in his 91st year

R A Palmer long prominent Corry resident died at home on West Wayne Street after a period of declining health. A lifelong public servant and businessman, he served as Corry School District treasurer and was an original director of Pine Grove Cemetery Association. A veteran of the Civil War era, Palmer was active in civic affairs until shortly before his death.

Death claims Miss Sue Lynch

Following an extended illness Miss Sue Lynch aged thirty six died at her home 81 Marion Street this afternoon at one o clock. She is survived by her mother five sisters and two brothers.
