Trains Crash at Meadville Injuring Several
Meadvilly Pa February 18 two Bessemer and Lake Erie Railway trains collided on a passing track near Mandville. Engineer Charton Mitchell was badly injured, fireman Dither Veith unhurt, conductor Samuel Volk slightly hurt. About twenty passengers escaped major harm as the wreckage blocked the line and trains were detoured. Mitchell was treated at Meadville hospital. Volk remained under observation.
