Collision in East End yards knocks end off locomotive
A spectacular collision occurred in the West End yards this morning when locomotive 473 from Renovo and freight cars were unable to clear the main track. The light engine bearing down on them was halted by yard crews, but the mogul crashed into the end of the last way. Both engineers and fireman escaped with minor injuries and the locomotive suffered severe damage, ending its service. Debris was cleared to restore traffic promptly.
