Local chorus festival crowns Corry singers at Albion High
The final performance of the Three day Northwest District Choral Festival will be heard at 8 tonight in Albion Area High School. Seven Corry high school students perform among 208 singers from 31 high schools across four counties. The chorus is directed by Don Craig, a New York City conductor with past work including the Fred Waring Glee Club and radio and TV programs. A first public concert was staged last night in the Albion auditorium. the second follows tonight.

Actress Ona Munson Found Dead in New York Apartment
New York actress Ona Munson, 48, was found dead in her West 88th Street apartment, apparently from an overdose of sleeping pills. Police said she left a suicide note pleading for freedom, with friends noting recent illness and depression. She was discovered by her third husband, Eugene Berman, after he returned home from shopping. A Portland, Oregon native, Munson began in vaudeville at 14 and moved to legitimate theater in 1924 with a touring company of No Other Girl.

Gas Company To Add Customers In Jamestown Area
