Babson Sees No Hollywood in TV Stock Outlook
Babson Park analyst Roger W. Babson discusses television stock prospects for 1949. He notes 1948 sales of about 8,000,000 sets and optimistic forecasts but cautions that gains may come from replacing radio demand. He warns that a TV boom may not offset past radio losses and suggests selling half holdings to realize profits. He predicts TV’s limited impact on film sales and stresses costs of production and scenery as factors.
