About 190 U S and South Vietnamese warplanes bombed targets in North Viet Nam as retaliation for Viet Cong attacks. The strikes focused near Chang Hoa Chap Le and near the 17th parallel while Viet Namese air forces supported the effort.

Theodore L. Koletee, 27, of 334 Spring Street, was fined 125 dollars plus costs for furnishing beer to minors in Erie County court. He and Donald Southworth, 28, of 123 West Irving Street, were identified by juveniles in Union City last November and also sentenced with fines and costs.

In Hillsboro Ohio a 74 year old farm woman Bernice Brown lay bound on her kitchen floor for three days after burglars ransacked her home. She survived without food or water and was persuaded to seek medical help. She lives alone on a snail farm nearby and is in fair condition in hospital. Her nephew John Henry Brown found her late Tuesday.
