Woodland plans draw Erie County farmers into conservation
Erie County Sun Conservation district held its February meeting with farmer members from Keneddim Hall Nurtti Girard John Phillias Norriby Dale Fobes Albion and Robert Harwood Wadlsbury among attendees. Jim Hall was re elected chairman. Ferguson Company representatives Great and Clark outlined an educational program to boost woodland income via local dealers and district participation. Tony Vogler forester reported on district cooperators aided by the Department. Twenty farmers received woodland management printed guides and woodlands markets data for harvests last year. Vogler noted growing interest in woodlands as farm income. Soil Conservation Service specialists Joseph Beard and Joseph contributed activity reports.
