Daydreaming Driver Hits Stopped Car On North Center Street
A driver Paul V. Carmike 26 of 102 Brook Street told police he was southbound on North Center Street when a car at the railroad crossing halted for a light ahead of him. Also reported were a stolen blue and white girls model bike with 24 inch wheels belonging to Terry Apthorp from near the Texas Lunch and a noise complaint about a family quarrel and misdirection on Mott Street. Rep. Bob Wilson says House Republicans will boost campaign funds and staff to help incumbents in tough districts. The committee outlines $3500 yearly for vulnerable freshmen, $2000 for others, up to $7500 for incumbents in battle, $5000 for safer seats, and a target of at least $10000 for candidates seen as having a fighting chance to unseat Democrats.
