Community Orchestra Forms in City with 15 Musicians
Twenty years ago report notes progress in organizing a city Community Orchestra. Weekly rehearsals occur every Wednesday at the Municipal building with about 15 pieces including violins clarinets cornets saxophones and a drum. Remodeling of the Grandin Hotel property on North Center Street proceeds to house J A Lanston and Company after March 1, while Lanston’s current location in the Brawi block will be used by Grim Company in the spring.
