Dinner Proves No Advices Fine Success From Trotsky
A sparsely read budget report from the Emmanuel Guild dinner notes sixty guests and a well arranged event. The committee, led by J. L. Holgi, praised efforts and cited speeches by Moore and Turner amid debate on a $11,000 appropriation for Governor Fisher, the National Guard, and Hoover presidency implications. In Moscow, reports on Trotsky’s exit from the USSR remained unconfirmed. Official sources gave no clearance of his departure while supporters claimed expulsion. William Murray left for Tunisia to resume studies at Cornell University.
