Two woodsmen reported seeing scattered parts from about 200 yards away. About 100 men are needed to trek to the wreck and recover bodies and salvage.
Beard calls for defeat while Elliot favors a bill. In Washington Meg Beard argues against the measure citing risks, while Elliot supports enacting it for world situation. The committee hearings proceed as the House debates the administration proposal.
Prospects for early installation of traffic lights at four intersections look favorable after a four hour survey by the State Highway Department. Safety Director Richard Rassacher reported that over 2,000 vehicles passed through the Southang Center street intersection and about 900 at the Center Irying street junction during the same period. MISS Agnes Wamerun of We cily suffered a serious accident when she fell on the sidewalk near the Wellejus Bakery on East Main Street. She was taken to Corry Hospital with a broken hip, and the injuries will incapacitate the resident for an extended period.
In Bartow two men, Jannet Kenty Wilson and Henry Cady, were injured in separate logging accidents. Wilson, 4, of Bartow Erne, was taken to Curry hospital after a fall near an oil supply yard. Cady, 26, of R. D. 2, city line, was hospitalized after a fall while riding logs near Olimet. both fractures were treated at the hospital.
