Cold Front Wreaks Wrath On Nation
A winter storm spread across the Midwest and Northeast on Ground Hog Day as a cold front collided with heavy rain and snow. The National Weather Service warned of snow from the northern Appalachians to the central Appalachians and along the Atlantic coast, with snow pushing into the northern Plains and upper Mississippi Valley. Predawn readings showed mixed conditions, including snow in Buffalo and New York rain, while Aberdeen, SC reported up to ten inches of snowfall blocking highways.
