Associated Press reports Stanley Schwartz, once a key figure in Erie County Democratic rule, faces a second trial on bribery charges. A grand jury indicted Schwartz and two newsroom operators Joseph Perrino and Joseph Lorigo on multiple counts amid a county wide raid that prosecutors say disrupted a 20 million dollar gambling ring. Former Mayor Thomas W. Flatley also involved, serving a 13 to 3 year term after pleading guilty to conspiracy and oath violations.
