HARRISBURG Feb 1 Boyd Hamilton longtime government aide and veteran newspaperman becomes acting director of Pennsylvania State Defense Council after Dr A C Marts resignation to join the Coast Guard. Hamilton, native of Harrisburg, has served as secretary of the civilian protection system since its creation and is expected to remain with the council or take another major post. He previously held senior state roles and was editor with the Harrisburg Telegraph. The Governor designated him to fill the ten thousand post pending selection of a successor.
