Micholas Matthew Cascario of Bangor Pennsylvania, 19, a Penn State sophomore, was killed on U S 1 when hecklers in an old model car bumped his vehicle. Fiorot, 22, also from Bangor, was with him. Fiorot is being held as a witness. A car matching the old vehicle’s description was found and labeled local.

Mrs Vivian Spector gave birth to quadruplets at Jefferson Hospital. Three of the quadruplets, two boys and a girl, died within hours of birth while the fourth remained in critical condition. The parents, Alvin and Vivian Spector, spoke of their grief as doctors and hospital staff cared for the surviving baby.

Col. James Hale Steinman, president and co publisher of Lancaster Newspapers Inc., died today at his home in Lancaster. He was 76 and a prominent figure in the publishing industry. At his death he served as treasurer of the American Newspaper Publishers Association.
A trailer home owned by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hewes two miles east of Clymer on the Briggs farm was destroyed in a afternoon blaze. The fire started in a utility room heated by a wood stove while the couple slept. Clymer firefighters arrived around 3 40 p m and the wind fueled the flames before the structure and contents were lost. Assistant Chief Rue Button led the response with Pynama firemen and local volunteers assisting.

Coroner Merle Wood said death was from a crushed skull with multiple injuries and ruled accidental.
