Blaze destroys home of Jamestown family in Christmas blaze

Fire last night at 729 Wayne Street, home of Mr and Mrs David MacKenzie, caused estimated 11800 damage to house and contents. Fire began in a fireplace and chimney, spreading to the roof. Firemen fought flames for four hours with 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. response. MacKenzie family and three children evacuated to Hotel Curry. Fire crews included Engines 2 and 3, Aerial Trick 4, Ememeney 5 with 21 men. two firefighters injured mildly.

Parents bury six children in Christmas Eve fire

UC Firemen Aid Waterford Units

Union City fire units aided Waterford Maine at night to stand by as crews battled a house fire on Route 97 near Seth Himrod s home.
