Slain Boy in Pittsburgh Shootings by Rail Fireman

In Pittsburgh a railroad fireman forced entry into the home of Mrs Isabella Lober and opened fire, killing nine year old Henry John Rost and wounding three others including Mrs Lober and a three year old. Gas Blast Burns Pittsburgh Man. Fire Damages Nearby Home

A 70 year old retired railroad worker suffered severe burns when a gas explosion ripped through his Lincoln Place home causing a nearby house to burn. Firemen stopped the gas leak in the basement and estimated losses at about 15000 dollars. The homeowner, Hugh M. Long, sustained burns to his face hands and body.

Dr C W Jones Dies Sudden in Corry

Local dentist Dr C W Jones passed away at his Corry home on 998 North Center Street yesterday afternoon before 5 o clock after a bout of illness. Born January 6 1885 in Chandlers Valley he trained at Warren High School and Western University of Pennsylvania Dental School graduating 1908. He practiced in North Warren Mt. Dewitt and since 1920 moved his office to Corry where he remained. Survived by wife and several relatives. Funeral set for 2 p m Sunday at the Brackell-Keating Funeral Home with friends invited.
