Directors of the Corry Chamber of Commerce elected Darwin Wolcott to the presidency for 1963 and approved a budget of 15 600. Lester Danner Joseph Furst and C Conrad Monroe were named officers. Board members include Carl Anthony James Hammond Willard Eson and others. The group rehired manager Stewart A Long and outlined expected receipts from dues totaling 15 500 with a plan for delinquent member calls.
The first baby born at Corry Memorial Hospital after midnight December 3rd will receive annual gifts from First Avenue merchants. Displayed in the Rossbacher Tnskance Service office are the donated gifts for this year’s intrepid infant. Participating firms include Root Furniture Co Ginnie's Restaurant Wallace Garage Borstorff and Fitch Rambler Sales Johnson Bros. Farm Implement Co. Harold Skinner 33, Robert First 62 and Ronald Rose 27 were treated at Corry Memorial Hospital after a two vehicle collision at a Clymer intersection. Skinner and First sustained cuts and bruises while Rose suffered a deep forehead laceration and chest injuries. Both vehicles were destroyed.

Ralph Woods, 17, of Bigler, was killed in a sledding accident when his sled struck the rear wheel of a car driven by 41 year old Helen Hipps of West Decatur. The incident occurred last night near Clearfield.
A 45 year old Corry man named Tom Cook will have heart surgery in Philadelphia at Temple University Hospital. He will receive 30 pints of blood donated locally from the Corry Red Cross Blood Bank with no charge. Mrs Cook will accompany him to Philadelphia while friends plan a modest fund drive to cover travel and surgery costs. Donors are urged to support at the January blood mobile visit and continue to sustain the local blood bank under the Red Cross Buffalo bank system.

In White Plains Judge Galloway suspended Mrs. Ruth Ryan's sentence after she pleaded guilty to second degree manslaughter for killing her 2-year-old daughter Cecelia Rose Ryan by lethal pepper intake. Her husband, 33, is disabled with an Army pension, and the family includes three other children.
Washington AP reports attorney James B. Donovan, independent of Attorney General Robert Kennedy, led the 1,113 Cuban invasion prisoners' transfer to the United States. Donovan, speaking by telephone from Lake Placid, says he could have completed the job without Kennedy if not for the Cuban Missile Crisis, and notes his role as counsel for the Cuban Families Committee which arranged the 59 million dollar aid package.
