Eight Rescued After Snowbound Night near Susanville
Eight persons marooned for 24 hours by a snow storm in the Barren Bridge Creek area were rescued early today in Lassen County. Demand Rights To Draft Own Rules Of Competition
Washington December 28 The Us Chamber of Commerce announced an overwhelming majority of members favor industry drafting its own fair competition rules for any NRA reorganization. Voters split over continuation of the NRA with 1 903 opposed and 251 for continuation while 1 489 supported new legislation to replace the act and 419 opposed. Members also backed the right to bargain with minority representatives and employees to choose their own reps without coercion.

City Council to wrap up year with special meeting
The City Council will complete its first year under Mayor Glen Miller next Monday evening with a special meeting at the Municipal building to approve bills and close year end business.
