Allentown Gifts $7,000 to Viet Orphans
Allentown Pennsylvania sent seven thousand dollars as a Christmas gift to fifty four Montagnard children at Crescent Beach orphanage in Da Nang Vietnam. Dr. Stuart Harverson, the Australian missionary who runs the camp with his wife, said the funds will help secure land farming tools and rice cultivation for the orphans. The effort was organized by the Call-Chronicle and supported by local churches and volunteers. The children are Hre tribe members living in tents on land owners' property. Dr. Harverson arrived in Vietnam a decade ago and praised the donation as breathtaking.
