Arrest of Taylor and gang clears up notorious thieves
Owen Ownie Taylor, alleged leader of a long running burglary gang, was captured at a gas station after months of eluding state troopers. Authorities uncovered loot from multiple hardware stores and rural depredations in Warren County and nearby areas. Several accomplices, including Taylor’s brother Harold and Maynard Spetz, were arrested as a broad clean up followed. The case links to numerous unsolved burglaries over years, with Taylor using a hidden hideout near Hyde's Pond. Hearing set for later in the week at Warren County Jail.
