Tragic Pedestrian Crash Involving Gas Truck Injures Child

A gas company truck struck a group of youths on West Smithy Street near Mead Avenue. Eight year old Roger Brown suffered a possible skull fracture and concussion and was admitted to Cory Memorial Hospital after the accident as freezing sleet and slick pavement contributed to the crash. Head On Crash Kills Two Men Near Meadville

A head on collision of two autos last night near Meadville killed Carl J. Durysta 30 Springboro and Dean Kellogg 38 Corneaut Ohio. Robert Bowen 38 Ashtabula Ohio, Kellogg’s passenger, was later admitted to Meadville City Hospital in satisfactory condition. Police reported the wreck occurred about 13 miles north of Meadville.
