Suspended Sentence on Falconer Man
Falconer, Dec. 23 James A. Smith, 23, of R. D. 1. Falconer, received a suspended sentence in Monroe County Penitentiary on a charge of petit larceny after pleading guilty before Peace Justice Fred B. Strunk. He paid restitution of $65 to Fred Nelson, a Falconer furniture upholsterer and sales agency, for whom Smith had been employed. He admitted borrowing money and offering mortgaged furniture as security. The charge was reduced with consent. He is free on $500 bail from Jamestown City Court, which ordered him held for the grand jury on grand larceny and fraud charges.
