Four Kushequa residents were severely hurt Saturday evening when a five passenger Studebaker driven by Romeo Pratee struck the Shawmut railroad overhead hedge on the Kane Smethport highway near Kasson. Miss Anna Veroche 20 is in critical condition with concussion and scalp wound. Alfonso Marini believed to have stitches over the right eye. Romeo Seattle sustained cuts and bruises. Nellie Verehe 18 suffered shock and cuts. An eight year old girl escaped injury.
Work is completed on the Jamestown hotel interior with 150 workers ready to start duties. Manager Lloyd G. Robinson says the entire staff will begin Christmas Day and the hotel should be ready for the New Year’s Eve opening. Interior decor is near completion and furnishings are in place.
