Kennedy book settlement eased by out of court pact
Harper & Row chief counsel said the firm will be glad to settle the Kennedy book dispute with Mrs. John F. Kennedy along the lines of her Look magazine deal. Look will publish a four part serial of The Death of a President with deletions of personal life passages. Stern in Hamburg announced a complete serialization with no changes, paying 72500 for German rights, starting January 10. Harper & Row seeks a similar arrangement and plans a 300000 word book next April about Kennedy's assassination. Mrs Kennedy said Look agreed to remove or modify personal passages, ending her suit.
