Area Woman Killed As Car Skids Into Train
Franklin area at unprotected crossing on Hendersonville road near Route 62. A Jeep carrying Mrs Leonora Barshc and Lynn Kerr and Mildred Kerr collided with a 36 car freight train. Barshc died from a fractured skull and multiple injuries. Kerrs injured with internal injuries pending x rays. The victims were employees at Polk State School and the accident occurred while en route to the Kerr home for lunch. Police cited the Jeep skidding into the locomotive and ending over 100 feet along the tracks.

Thousands Pay Final Respects To Rebel Yet
