Me Jewett man accidentally shot at Mt Jewett office
Gustave Palm age 88 was found dead at 8 30 this morning in Mt Jewett near the Central Ga office. A 32 caliber revolver discharged with shells scattered nearby and a double barrel shotgun cleaned on the table. Detective Jack Alli of Smethport said death appears accidental.

Holdup men held for court after hearing
Two of the three holdup men who tried to rob the National Biscuit Co office on November 15 were held for the February criminal court term after a hearing before Alderman Mayes. They were remanded to jail without bail. The third man, Arthur Mahar, and F Heines face assault and battery with intent to rob charges. Mitteer, a biscuit employee, was attacked during the attempt to reach the strong box.

Erie to enforce dry holidays with large prohibition squads
