Shot by military police shocks Hyde area
John H. Collins 7, of Hyde, a former soldier discharged a week ago, was shot in the abdomen near the Hydes Hotel by Cpl. John Kushner of the 1300th Service Unit Pittsburgh during a roving county patrol. Collins lies in serious condition at Clearfield Hospital. Police describe a scuffle in the darkness when Kushner ordered two men to step out and a gun discharged.
