Belinarylvania group seeks teacher tenure amendment
The Belinaylvania State School Directors Association plans to ask legislators next month to amend teachers tenure law to allow dismissal of married women teachers if desired. Executive Secretary Preston O. Van Nes says the amendment would apply to section 404. The association also seeks three year suspensions for teachers to constitute permanent dismissal and a revision in act 2741 to make teaching subversion a cause for dismissal.
