Hor Williams, of Bradford, saved a man named Holmes from an oncoming train near the Hotel Holley station. Williams moved from the southbound to the tracks and pushed Holmes to safety just seconds before the Flyer struck. Spectators watched as Williams exposed himself to danger to shield another.
Ridgway Pa Di 19 The Elk county coal lands near Trout Run are to be mined by Hall and Brigid interests who own the land. Timber has been stripped and sawmills erected earlier at St Marys. As lumber fades the coal industry is expected to grow rapidly in Elk County with new mines opening as timber disappears.
All persons having accounts against the City of Corry are requested to present them to the City Treasurer on or before Thursday December 28 1916. This city notice requests submission of outstanding claims for settlement.
