Three Fires Cause Major Damage in Western Pennsylvania
Three fires across Western Pennsylvania last night caused more than 350000 dollars in damage. In Homestead the Elks Lodge fire burned six hours, injuring eight firefighters including Fire Chief Herman Samuels. Near Altoona at East Freedom the Clasr home was destroyed, with no one saved. In Beaver Falls the Union Clothing Co building fire damaged a two story block, smoke overcame two firefighters, and the loss was pegged at about 150000 dollars.
