Girard Paper Mill Sold to Chicago Interests
The Girard paper mill near Bis Park west of Girard has been sold to Chicago interests led by owner and partner W. Armentrout. It will be reconverted to print newsprint with production starting around January after engineering work. The mill now makes boxboard and ships about 15 tons daily to Ash Tabula and Erie affiliates.
