Slarente Bates, 34, died at Corry hospital about 9:45 after an automobile left the highway and overturned near the Lynatii home on the Beaverdam road. He sustained a crushed chest punctured lung and a fracture of the left shoulder. Death came about six hours after arrival at the hospital. Bates had been en route from Wattsport to a Beaverdam dinner sing. The car skidded on a curve and struck a stump, overturning and wrecking the vehicle. Private John Barnicle and Deputy Coroner R.
