Mrs Charlotte Martin of Lante Corners accuses her husband John Martin and Ruth Wives of adultery. John Martin held on $1,000 bail after assault and battery charges filed by Mrs Martin. Both suspects pleaded not guilty and were sent to county jail awaiting trial.
In Conneaut on Monday afternoon two well dressed Mexican men distracted clerks at Kurts Jewelry Store and stole six half carat diamond rings valued around four thousand dollars. Police were alerted with descriptions for a possible quick arrest within a 200 mile radius.
Westfield witnesses three youths Frank Squillace 18, Joe Loria 18, L. Liotuno 18 arrested for burglary and theft. They allegedly robbed Manuel's restaurant and Carnahan and Shear stores, and were linked to several local robberies with money found at the Armour plant. Police report involvement in larceny and thefts dating to December, with bail and grand jury actions pending.
