Funds Not Available Council Postpones Day Care Plan
City Council declined immediate participation in a proposed Erie day care center costing 5000 dollars locally and 100000 dollars initially. Donna McBee and Johnnie Atkinson outlined existing centers, target ages 3 to 6 with expansion to 6 months, and a 30-child Corry program. Despite tax hikes, council left the idea in committee for possible future consideration, possibly in the 1976 budget, while not abandoning it.
