Reorganization Nears Completion in Forests and Waters
Harrisburg officials say a planned consolidation will abolish the Bureau of Waters the Bureau of Forests and the Bureau of Parks. Deputy secretaries will remain in charge of waters and forests with salaries around ten thousand and nine thousand eight hundred dollars respectively. The plan aims to merge with the Fish and Game Commission into a single Department of Conservation potentially saving about one million dollars.
