Police across Illinois and towns scoured highways and garages in search of a car thief posing as a woman. The suspect identified by a Davenport garage owner as Thomas H. Robinson Jr allegedly rented a car Saturday night from the Mollie T. branch of a Davenport rental service owned by Fred H. Willey. Willey had refused to rent to the woman earlier, suspecting a man in disguise. After six hours with no return, police were alerted and a photograph of Robinson as the woman was circulated.
