Supreme Court bars state injunctions over labor law conflicts
The Supreme Court ruled state courts cannot issue injunctions enforcing state labor laws parallel to Taft Hartley. Justice Jackson said federal power is the supreme law and should be handled by the National Labor Relations Board, not state courts, in cases involving interstate business. The Pennsylvania case began when Central Storage and Transfer of Harrisburg was injunctioned against AFL Teamsters Local 116 picketing.
