Harrisburg December 15 Pennsylvanian labor groups united to back a 1949 legislature program. AFL Pennsylvania Federation of Labor approved a plan similar to CIO and UMW recommendations including unemployment and workers compensation reforms, a fair employment act, soft drink tax increase funding, and repeal of the 1947 local tax law. A declared effort to refine the compensation benefits system was set to be discussed by state AFL President James McDevitt and other union leaders.

Survived by sister Mrs Helen Kaiser of Detroit. Body at Zeptel Funeral Home 272 Stacy Avenue Pittsburgh. Service Friday morning then committal at Wiselly and interment at St Elizabeth's Cemetery at 1 30.
