Herbert L. Bowen 60, former publisher of the Spartansburg Sentinel, died at Corry hospital at six in the evening after a lengthy illness. A Spar tansburg resident for years, he owned the Sentinel for about 25 years before shifting to a job printing plant. He served Odd Fellows, justice of the peace, and notary public. Fire at Falconwood Hospital kills three, injures many
A blaze engulfed Falconwood Hospital in Charlottetown on December 15, killing three and wounding many as snow and sleet hampered response.
